The authors introduce rational Bernoulli wavelets on the interval \([0,\, \infty)\). For these wavelets, the operational matrix of the derivative is constructed. Finally, this theory is applied to the numerical solution of a boundary value problem of a nonlinear differential equation of third order which describes the heat transfer in a porous medium.
