The author derives a determinantal formula for a generalization of the \(\varepsilon\)-algorithm that was originally developed by Brezinski. The formula is then used to prove that the generalized \(\varepsilon\)- algorithm determines the limit for a certain class of sequences that are defined as a solution to a difference equation.
