Existence and uniqueness of solutions for a problem of the dynamics of multicomponent ion exchange (Q1802592)

The authors consider a system of semilinear partial differential equations in two independent variables (the time and a space variable), arising in the dynamics of multicomponent ion exchange. The unknowns are some concentrations of the components, and the system is coupled with positive initial and boundary conditions. Under the assumption of integrability of the data, the existence and uniqueness of a positive solution is proved.
