The paper investigates the singularly perturbed parabolic problem describing metal heating due to convective and radiational heat fluxes. The corresponding initial-boundary value problem for the heat equation is posed under special nonlinear boundary conditions involving the normal derivatives of the solution. By using the Biot number as a small parameter, the full asymptotic solution of the problem is obtained and discussed.
