The authors present a method of constructing a \(G^ 1\) composite surface which is free from any local flatness and bulges even with a very uneven spacing of data points. The interpolation scheme is a completely local scheme, isoparametric curves are smooth across patch boundaries, and the surface patches are all Bézier patches.
