The paper studies the dynamic of a moving string performing three- dimensional vibrations under a time-varying tension. The equations of motion are derived using the Hamilton principle, and the Galerkin procedure is applied to discretize the continuous system into a finite- degree-of-freedom system. Numerical results are presented on purpose to determine the stable-unstable regions.
