This paper studies an ecosystem consisting of rice injurious insects (such as locusts, rice bores, etc., their total number is \(X\)), frogs \((Y_1)\), birds \((Y_2)\) and snakes \((Z)\). It is a typical four- dimensional specific mutual interference system and consists of two food chains with both ends fused. Its boundedness, extermination and stability are studied.
