The paper presents a discrete time adaptive control algorithm for systems with saturated input. The process to be controlled is assumed to have a stable inverse. The main objective is the design of a stabilizing controller such that the closed loop system is bounded-input bounded- output stable under the non-ideal conditions: (1) There are unmodelled dynamics in the system. (2) The plant input is saturated with a known upper limit of the magnitude of the control signal. The algorithm is based on a model reference technique.
