This paper examines how a minimizing sequence of the Yamabe quotient behaves on a closed Riemannian manifold. The author uses the concentration function. An interesting local convergence theorem is proved, but this result has been known for many years by several mathematicians in Beijing and by Prof. Th. Aubin in Paris.
