Summary: This paper deals with a family of quasi-nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space, and the convergence of iterates generated by this family. A fixed point theorem for two quasi-nonexpansive mappings is proved. This theorem is then extended for a finite family of quasi-nonexpansive mappings. It is shown that \textit{S. Ishikawa's} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 44, 147-150 (1974; Zbl 0286.47036)] result follows as special case of results proved in this paper.
