The method of integral equations is used to find unbounded contact stresses in a contact problems of the theory of elasticity by reducing the problem to a Hilbert-type singular integral equation rather than to an equation with Cauchy kernel. The Hilbert equation is then inverted and reduced to an infinite algebraic system. The method is illustrated with few numerical results.
