This paper treats \(4\)-dimensional almost Kähler manifolds of pointwise constant holomorphic sectional curvature. The author proves, among others, that a \(4\)-dimensional compact almost Kähler manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature with \(J\)-invariant Ricci tensor is Kähler.
