The author derives stationary equations of a coupled nonlinear Schrödinger system (shortly CNLS), which in general are integro-differential equations. Moreover the author classifies the stationary equations according to the genus of their spectral curves using reduction theorems which impose additional constraints on the coefficients of the equations. In addition the subset of purely differential stationary equations is constructed. Note that such analysis provides a basis for study of the near homoclinic orbits of the CNLS system.
