Two new classes of group embeddable semigroups are indicated, containing earlier known classes of semigroups with this property. In particular, it is proved a generalization of a result of \textit{V. S. Guba} [Mat. Zametki 56, No. 2, 3-14 (1994; Zbl 0839.20071)].
