A linear control system with a scalar input is considered and the stabilization problem for the state \(x=0\) is analyzed provided the minimal phase is assumed. The authors also study conditions guaranteeing the existence of the minimal phase output and the corresponding search methods are presented. One provides an example of a controlled Lorenz system. The relative degree of an affine system with an output and the minimum phase property are invariant under smooth nondegenerate changes of variables in a neighbourhood of the equilibrium point and it gives consistency for the stabilization problem.
