In continuation to his previous work [\textit{G. F. Jungck}, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 25, 497-507 (2001; Zbl 1005.47052)], the author obtains fixed point theorems for semigroups \(H\) of self-maps of a compact semimetric space \(X\) which are nearly commutative at continuous maps \(g\) from \(X\) to itself. Illustrative examples are given and some special cases are nicely discussed.
