The author presents necessary and sufficient conditions for a Banach couple formed by the space \(L_{\infty}\) and an arbitrary Lorentz space \(\Lambda(\phi)\) to be exact \(\mathcal K\)-monotone, thus answering a problem posed by Sedaev in 1981.
