\textit{R. C. Gunning} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 319, 153--171 (1980; Zbl 0426.30038)] introduced a cohomological bundle to study the periods of the holomorphic Prym differentials and described it explicitely in the case of genus 2. Here, the author discusses this bundle, together with its bilinear pairing and its connection with the Torelli group representation for compact Riemann surfaces of genus \(g>2\).
