It is given a negative answer to question 51 from \textit{K. R. Goodearl's} book [Von Neumann regular rings (Pitman, 1979; Zbl 0411.16007)]. There exists a regular ring R, which is embeddable as a right module into any non-zero right ideal, but which is not isomorphic to some principal right ideal of the ring.
