Classical invariant theory for the quantum symplectic group (Q1816391)

The paper develops an invariant theory for the quantum symplectic group. Following in section~1 the classical path, all needed notations are explicitly generalized to the \(q\)-case by construction. \(q\)-Pfaffians and standard Young tableaux are the most important among them. Beside technical difficulties all these constructions run along the classical lines. Section 2 defines \(U_q(sp(n))\) and some basic invariants. Thereafter the main theorem states that the ring of invariants is generated by those previously defined basic invariants.
