The authors define a triangular norm on a lattice \((L,\leq, \wedge, \vee, 0,1)\) which generalizes the usual triangular norm on the real interval \([0,1]\). The main result says that any complete and atomic Boolean algebra can be embedded into a dense MV-algebra \(M\) in such a way that the embedding consists of all idempotent elements of \(M\).
