The authors investigate the energy orthogonal relation between conforming part and the non-conforming part of triangular finite elements for a hybrid model. They show that non-conforming parts have no contribution to the enhanced strains. Unfortunately, there are not enough explanations and definitions, so that it is nearly impossible to follow the development of the new finite element.
