The author uses inexact Newton iterates to approximate a solution of a nonlinear equation in a Banach space by assuming that the involved operator is twice continuously Fréchet-differentiable in a neighborhood of a solution. The author essentially reproduces all results found earlier. However, his upper error bounds on the distances involved are smaller.
