The author shows the existence of maximal compact hypersurfaces inside certain type of open sets \(U\) in a projective variety \(V\), with \(\text{dim}(V)\geq 2\). The condition on \(U\) is that \(V-\overline{U}\) is a pseudoconcave domain in Andreotti's sense.
