Convergence of automorphisms of compact projective planes (Q1818905)

It is shown that a pointwise convergent sequence of continuous collineations of a compact projective plane converges uniformly if, and only if, the image under the pointwise limit contains a quadrangle. In that case, the limit is a continuous collineation. Like for topological groups, continuity of a collineation can be checked at an arbitrary single point.
