With reference to the interaction between saturated steam and horizontal, subcooled, slowly moving water, a theoretical model of direct contact condensation is presented, for a cylindrical geometry. A good agreement appears from the comparison of predictions with experimental data, as far as both heat transfer coefficient and outlet water temperature are concerned.
