The paper discusses a general 2-D mesh moving technique that enables a mesh to follow the propagation of given error indicators. Mesh motion is determined from the movement of clusters of nodes with sufficiently high error. This procedure is tested on hyperbolic problems having solutions with large gradients. Finally, it is shown that combination of mesh moving and refinement enhance efficiency, accuracy and robustness.
