A Majorana quaternion field is used for a certain formulation of a gauge transformation which corresponds to a group of invariance of a certain Lagrangian and to some other groups. By using that formalism, the group SO(3) is considered as the quark pseudocolour symmetry and the corresponding gauge field is interpreted as the three-gluon-colour field.
