The author develops the equations of thermoelasticity for bodies with nonlinear composite materials. Local stresses and heat fluxes due to the nonhomogeneous material structure are determined. Approximations of the theory to various special cases are discussed. The paper is theoretical, but carefully written. It should be of interest and use to theoreticians working in thermoelasticity and composites.
