Let X be a projective threefold with factorial terminal singularities. We classify all contractions of extremal rays which can occur on X. Surprisingly, the possibilities are almost as simple as those occuring in Mori's classification for smooth X [see \textit{S. Mori}, Ann. Math., II. Ser. 116, 133-176 (1982; Zbl 0557.14021)].
