Let R be a Morita-self-dual ring, \(\sigma\) : \(R\to R\) a ring monomorphism and R[X,\(\sigma\) ] the ring of right skew polynomials in X over R. The author studies conditions for the self-duality of the factor ring \(R[X,\sigma]/X^ hR[X,\sigma]\) and gives applications. Moreover the paper contains examples for one-sided PF-rings.
