The authors consider the solvability of the periodic boundary value problems for the equation \(x''+Cx'+g(t,x)=e\) \(x(0)-x(T)=x'(0)-x'(T)=0\) in which C and \(e\in R\) and \(g: [0,T]\times R\to R\) is a continuous function. The results are applied to the forced pendulum equation \(y''+Cy'+A Sin y=e(t),\) \(A>0\), \(e\in L'(0,T)\).
