In an earlier paper [Sov. Math., Dokl. 13, 477-480 (1972), translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 203, 986-988 (1972; Zbl 0261.57010)] I gave an axiomatically constructed unique theory of linking of homology theories and in connection with this I used to state a theorem of uniqueness and existence. Also, some corollaries of this theorem were introduced. However the proof of the theorem was omitted in this paper. For that very reason the purpose of the present article is to fill in this long standing gap.
