The authors present a procedure for constructing the Lagrangian constraints of a degenerate system from the Hamiltonian constraints. They start from a singular Lagrangian and develop the Hamiltonian algorithm; in the sequel they present two results that give a connection between Hamiltonian and Lagrangian formalisms and finish with a procedure for constructing the Lagrangian algorithm.
