A characterization of simply connected QF-3 algebras of finite representation type (over an algebraically closed field) having an indecomposable faithful projective-injective module is given. It is shown that any such algebra is an incidence algebra of a finite partially ordered set. This gives a relation with the work of \textit{M. Loupias} [Thesis, Univ. Tours (1975); see also Zbl 0362.16015].
