The author gives a necessary and sufficient condition in order that any solution of the boundary value problem \[ P(D,D_ t)u=f;\quad Q_ j(D,D_ t)u|_{t=0}=g_ j,\quad 1\leq j\leq \mu \] belongs to the Gevrey class \(G^ d\), \(d>1\). Similar results have been obtained by Barros-Neto and Artino (Dekker N.W. 1980).
