A multivariate latent scale linear model is defined for multivariate ordered categorical responses. A procedure of parameter estimation based on a weighted least squares method is developed. Asymptotic properties are examined, and assessing validity of the model and testing linear hypotheses are discussed. Several applications are illustrated, and an analysis of real data is given.
