The class of Abelian difference sets with multiplier minus one whose (v,k,\(\lambda\),n) parameters satisfy \(v\neq 4n\) is studied. It is shown that the only possible parameter values in the range \(1<n\leq 10^ 8\) for which such difference sets could exist are (4000,775,150,625), (20736,2640,336,3404), and (24010000,3431715,490490,2941225). Existence is known in the first case and is undecided in the other two.
