The authors develop two sequential algorithms, two parallel algorithms and two vector algorithms which are based on the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method and compare the computational efficiency of these methods in the numerical solution of four selected initial value problems for systems of ordinary differential equations of order 2, 3, 4 and 10, respectively.
