Let B be a topological algebra with identity e, \(B^{-1}\) an open group of invertible elements of B, I a two-sided ideal of B and \(G=B^{-1}\cap \{e+c:\) \(c\in I\}\). Then to each Jordan element J of B the set \(S_ G(J)=\{gJg^{-1}:\) \(G\in G\}\) is a rational manifold. There are no proofs in this paper which, the author says, is a concise version of his unpublished references [Lo1] and [Lo2].
