Vor \textit{Kronecker} und \textit{Weber} hat sich bereits \textit{Cayley} 1854 mit der Bestimmung aller Gruppen einer Ordnung \(< 8\) und mit der Aufstellung von Gruppentafeln beschäftigt. Verf. bemerkt, daß die verschiedenen Definitionen des Gruppenbegriffs fast durchweg äquivalent sind. (III 5.)
