Combinations of the meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method with finite element (FE) and boundary element (BE) methods are proposed for elasticity boundary value problems with the aim to improve the solution efficiency. Special interface elements are needed along the border of MLPG and FE (or BE) regions in order to satisfy the displacement compatibility and force equilibrium conditions. Numerical results are given for several examples.
