The authors study numerically oscillation modes which arise when a supersonic jet hits an obstacle. A third-order explicit throughflow scheme is used, and the calculations are carried out for a wide range of incoming flow characteristics and barrier geometries. The numerical results are compared with physical experiments; this justifies the proposed procedure for the study of low unrated supersonic jets flowing past obstacles.
