The author uses the method of Fourier expansion to prove the existence of a periodic solution for a linear neutral functional differential equation. He establishes the same fact for quasilinear neutral functional differential equations by the use of Leray-Schauder degree theory. The results are applied to a neutral equation which contains a delay depending also on the unknown function.
