\textit{H. Yoshihara} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 53, 731--743 (2001; Zbl 1067.14510)] studied Galois points on smooth quartic surfaces. The article under review extends the result of Yoshihara to Galois points and singular points on normal quartic surfaces. The result is interesting but very complicated, so it is impossible to be stated here explicitly.
