A full descriptive characterization of the classical one-dimensional Henstock integral in terms of the absolute continuity of the variational measure was given by the same authors in 1995. A similar result is given in this paper for the dyadic path-integral which is a special case of \(S\)-integrals defined by local systems of sets. Some variational properties of \(S\)-integrals and the comparison between the dyadic path-integral and the dyadic Henstock integral are also discussed.
