Fixed point index of iterations of local homeomorphisms of the plane: a Conley index approach (Q1849802)

The authors introduce special index pairs, defined as filtration pairs, for a non-repeller fixed point ``p'' of a local homeomorphism \(f\) . These pairs allow to compute easily the fixed point index of any iteration of \(f\) at the point \(p\), provided that the singleton ``p'' is an isolated invariant set.
