The authors introduced \(L\)-functions in their paper [\(L\)-functions of graph coverings, JP J. Algebra Number Theory Appl. 1, 235-250 (2001; Zbl 1005.05023)]. In the present paper they express the \(L\)-functions of the line graph and the middle graph of a regular covering of a regular graph \(G\) by using some characteristic polynomials. As a corollary, they express the zeta functions of the line graph and the middle graph of a regular covering of \(G\) by using the characteristic polynomial of that regular covering.
