The multiplicity results of Ambrosetti-Prodi-type (the number of solutions depending on a parameter) are given for a certain Dirichlet problem studied by \textit{A. Ambrosetti}, \textit{H. Brezis} and \textit{G. Cerami} [J. Funct. Anal. 122, No. 2, 519-543 (1994; Zbl 0805.35028)]. Besides the bifurcation diagrams showing a complete characterization of the solution sets (exactly two solutions or a unique solution or no solution, or so), the instability under perturbation of the given structure is demonstrated.
