The paper deals with geometric and algebraic properties of atoms [see \textit{A. T. Fomenko}, Adv. Sov. Math. 6, 1-35 (1991; Zbl 0746.58036)]. The author sets out some examples of maximally symmetric atoms connected with the groups \(\text{SL}_\pm (2,\mathbb{Z}_p)\) and \(\text{GL} (2,\mathbb{Z}_p)\), \(p\) prime, using representations of groups having a corepresentation of a special form. Also results of computer experiments with groups of this type are presented.
